Agree the route used for tools, products and waste. Move fragile objects and make enough space for safe access without blocking the household.

Plan for dust, noise and working hours
Bathroom renovation involves cutting, drilling and removal. Good protection and extraction reduce dust, but the work cannot be silent or completely dust-free.
Discuss normal start and finish times, parking and access. Tell the team about shift work, home working or other needs that may affect the daily plan.
Think about children and pets
Keep children away from the work area, stored tools and removed materials. Explain household routines so doors and access points can be managed safely.
Pets may be unsettled by unfamiliar noise and open doors. Arrange a secure, quiet part of the home or suitable care during the busiest stages.
Agree bathroom access in advance
If this is the only bathroom, ask when the WC, basin or shower will be unavailable. The installer can explain the likely sequence and whether temporary access is practical.
Keep essential items in another room and plan washing arrangements where needed. A realistic plan is more useful than assuming every fitting will remain available throughout.
